At present, people around the world are afraid of risks such as pandemics of infectious diseases,natural disasters due to global warming, and even wars. In particular, the COVID-19 pandemic has brought fear to people around the world.
The technology we have developed is functional electrolyzed water. This function electrolyzed water (trade name Miracle Up) can be applied in various fields. In particular, it shows effectiveness in environmental health. One example is the effectiveness of our functional electrolyzed water in the COVID-19 pandemic in Mexico.
We have conducted a test to confirm the growth inhibition effect of the developed functional electrolyzed water against pathogens such as various pathogenic bacteria and viruses, and confirmed that the functional electrolyzed water shows a growth inhibitory effect against pathogens.
We would like to make effective use of this functional electrolyzed water as a fine mist in the field of environmental hygiene by reducing pathogens in the air by regular spraying. For example, regular spraying of functional electrolyzed water at the public facilities, such as nursing homes, airports, schools, hospitals, and various business establishments can reduce pathogens in the air environment and help provide a clean air environment. Furthermore, in the agricultural field, spraying at a specified time in cowsheds, pig farms, poultry farms, etc. can reduce pathogens in the air environment and help prevent respiratory infections in livestock. We are currently planning a demonstration experiment for this purpose. Effect of Quantum Water against Norovirus
Norovirus is a type of virus that causes viral gastroenteritis.
It can be transmitted orally through the feces and vomit of an infected person, or through dust from dried food.
It can also cause food poisoning due to ingestion of shellfish accumulated via rivers.
The residual viral load was compared between hexagon field-converted sterile distilled water (sterile distilled quantum water) and commercially available sterile distilled water.
Antivirus Activity of Quantum Water
We used feline calicivirus, which is considered to be an alternative virus to norovirus (* Since the technology to artificially propagate norovirus has not been found, feline calicivirus is used as an alternative virus). The virus solution was mixed with sterile quantum water or commercially available sterile distilled water, and then the viral load was examined. The results showed that sterile quantum water overwhelmingly suppressed the viral load.
